UPTAP/BURISA meeting City Hall, London October 9th

In their paper for the UPTAP/BURISA meeting held at City Hall London on October 9th, Gillian Harper and Les Mayhew of Mayhew Harper Associates Ltd. and Cass Business School proposed the ending of the UK Census and its replacement by a system based on routinely collected administrative data. Citing numerous actual examples of applications they showed that their system would produce more frequent, timely and accurate population data that would greatly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of local services throughout the country.
